Allen Burton
His passion for golf, wealth of knowledge and communication skills allows him to teach all age groups and skill levels. Allen has taught thousands of lessons in his golf teaching career spanning almost two decades. He continues to be a student of the game himself, as he has, for over 40 years.
Allen has been recognized as a Master Instructor of the Impact Zone with Champion’s Tour member and CBS Sports commentator Mr. Bobby Clampett. “Because of his accomplished teaching capability, as well as his incredible ability to create rapport with the students, I have invited him to teach side-by-side with me in my Impact Zone Golf schools.” says Mr. Clampett.
Allen Burton, from Lake Hickory Country Club, has been named to U.S. Kids Golf’s annual list of Master Kids Teachers. The Award recognizes the world’s most outstanding youth golf instructors, and Burton is part of a select group that earned Top 50 accolades three times, making Burton a Master Kids Teacher.
Since 2004, U.S. Kids Golf has honored the best youth golf teachers with the Top 50 Kids Teacher Award. Applicants complete an online survey and winners are chosen based on their contributions to youth golf, such as: experience young golfers; time devoted to teaching youth; innovation, creativity and fun in their programs; communication; parental involvement; use of a well-organized instruction program and overall effort to grow the game.

Allen is also a US Kid’s Golf Certified Instructor. A US Kid’s Golf Certified Instructor is recognized as an expert in teaching golf to ages 12 and under. Each Instructor on our staff uses an established curriculum that features game based learning methods and play on a scaled golf course.
